The Good, The Bad, and Why AA Didn’t Work for Me

This episode of Black Sheep Addictz gets into the complicated reality of Alcohol Use Disorder, recovery, accountability, and why one recovery method doesn’t work for everybody. I talk about my first experience attending an AA meeting as a kid, why the program never personally connected with me, and how alcohol slowly became an automatic coping mechanism in my life. This isn’t an attack on AA. I understand why it helps so many people. But I also think recovery is deeply personal, and people need different tools, environments, and approaches depending on who they are. We get into the good, the bad, the excuses, the triggers, the emotional side of addiction, and what it feels like to finally start seeing things clearly after years of running on autopilot. A raw and honest conversation about addiction, self-awareness, and finding what works for you.
